FOCUS NEWS: Corby Is Deported
Brisbane - Australian marijuana queen, Schapelle Corby, was eventually deported to her home country. But at the last minute of his return, Corby had changed the airline at Ngurah Rai Airport before flying to Australia.

Reported by ABC News, Sunday (28/05/2017), Corby is known to fly to Australia from Ngurah Rai Airport with Malindo Air airline on Saturday (27/5) night Bali time. Corby who flew with his older sister, Mercedes, had changed flights in the last minute of his departure.

Previous Corby and Mercedes are scheduled to fly by Virgin Air. They then changed the airline in the last minute because there were allegedly 40 Australian media journalists who had been waiting for him on the plane.

Special treatment also obtained Corby with his brother when boarding the airline Malindo Air. The crew even referred to them as 'Special Guests'.

Shortly arriving in Australia, they were given a strict escort by the bodyguard who accompanied him on the plane. Even after the plane landed at Brisbane Airport at around 5:00 pm local time, they forbade the other passengers to descend before Corby and his brother first got off.

But again Corby makes a fuss. To distract the reporter who had been waiting for him since 4:00 pm local time at Brisbane Airport, Corby told his brother Mercedes to get off first and go straight into the van complete with a thick black window. Mercedes even escorted convoy eight vehicles.

After the media attention is distracted, Corby is known to descend through a separate door and immediately check in at the Sofitel Hotel Brisbane. While Corby's sister, Mercedes headed straight for her mother's house in Loganlea, south of Brisbane.

"Corby has left Brisbane Airport safely," Corby's family spokesman Eleanor Whitman was quoted by ABC as saying.

Corby was arrested at Ngurah Rai Airport, Denpasar, Bali, in October 2004. At that time, he was caught carrying 4.2 kilograms of marijuana. The legal case against Corby was long. He was tried and sentenced to 20 years in prison in May 2005.

However, appeals, appeals, appeals and appeals to the 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) led to parole on February 10, 2014. After being paroleed, Corby must stay for 3 years in Bali before being deported to Australia.
